About Us

Welcome to the West Florida Soccer Club. At WFSC we are a family oriented club. All of our coaches know every player, and all of our players know every coach. We are small by nature because of our location, however that does not mean our quality is any different than the biggest clubs in the country. Our club provides the highest licensed coaches per capita in the area hands down. We focus our development on the individual player and not team oriented winning. Although winning is the by product of our work. We want to develop creative players, not robots. This is a long term process that takes time and requires patience from our parents. However, it results in some of the top players in the panhandle coming from our small family club. Our goal is to develop each and every players’ soccer skills, character, and self-esteem to his or her fullest potential in a safe, enjoyable, competitive environment. Our goal is to put the development of each individual player above winning. WFSC is built on the emphasis of the club as a whole not on any individual team. WFSC will focus on promoting the very finest soccer education for its players and coaches.

POUND the ROCK!“When nothing seems to help, I go look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before.” – Jacob Riis

We live in a world where some people believe that high-level athletic performance is easy and that people are born with talent and greatness. They don’t see Steph Curry and Kobe Bryant showing up early and staying late. They don’t see Cristiano Ronaldo having to be dragged off the field by Alex Ferguson when he was 18 years old, as he was determined to be the greatest player ever. They don’t see the work, the struggle and disappointment Nick Foles persevered through to become the 2018 Super Bowl MVP.They think there is such a thing as an overnight success story. There is not. All these athletes pound the rock. Hour after hour, day after day, they put in the work so that when their moment comes, they are ready. Only 100 failed attempts will yield the one that breaks the stone.
At West Florida Soccer Club, We believe in POUND The ROCK!!!
